It’s finally time that I stop dying the truth. I have been working out on and off for the past 8 years. Taking bootcamp classes before work, cycling on weekends and running myself crazy. But no matter how hard I work, I could never seem to achieve my goal. For the love of the Lord, all I want is a six-pack, is that too much to ask?? HA!

With all the books and magazines I read, I’ve known for years that it takes more than hard work and hours at the gym for a whittled waistline. However for as long as I can remember, I’ve had this wonderful, loving relationship with SUGAR that I just can’t seem to let go.

That being said, I’m tired of spending money on trainers, races and classes for nothing. Sure, I’m stronger and I can run longer but I’m still not seeing the results that I’ve always wanted! So, I think it’s finally time that I listen to what I already knew and say good-bye to my dear dear friend. We’ve had more than 30 amazing years together and I’m truely going to miss our morning drinks {Caribou Northern Light White Chocolate Moca} or our late night snacks {Dairy Queen Buster Bar Blizzard}, but I have to admit, I think that I’m going to love my new six pack more! HA!

It looks like life will be very very busy for the next nine months. Well, my work life that is! Just a mere 3 months after our Heart & Stroke Gala we are now busy creating design concepts, exploring new venues and scheduling sponsor parties. Add in the health symposiums, volunteer recognition parties, Go Red events and of course, the Simply Loves Wedding & Design season and I’ll be one happily busy lady! Have I mentioned how much I love my jobs??

This year we want to create a fun, whimsical and festive experience. Something different and memorable so guests will be left wondering what we could possibly do to top it! And of course, I’m always looking for dedicated volunteers to help pick linens, solicit auction items and basically play for the next nine months with me. Let me know if that is you, but in the meantime enjoy this fabulous inspiration board we created!

Sadly, our honeymoon adventure has come to an end. Despite the minor hiccup, we definitely had an amazing time sipping frozen concoctions, baking our Minnesota skin in the hot hot sun and enjoying our time together. Bonus?? The hubby may have even discovered a new photography career! All-in-all a perfect trip if you ask me! Enjoy a sneak peek of our 5 days in paradise and stay tuned for more pictures and glorious details to follow.
